Sixteen ships of five types, YZJ won new orders more than $990 million this year

On July 6,the listed company released a statement saying that as of the announcementdate, Yangzijiang Shipbuilding had secured new orders for 16 vessels since Jan1, 2022, totaling $990 million. The 16 vessels are:

 

1 Two 36000 m3 dual fuel Ethylene (LEG)Carriers;

2 Four 8000TEU LNG dual-fuel ContainerVessels;

3 Four 66000 DWT Bulk Carriers;

4 Two 63200 DWT Bulk Carriers;

5 Four 1800TEU Container Vessels.


•36000m3 dual fuel Ethylene (LEG) Carriers

Recently, YangziMitsui Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "YangtzeMitsui"), a subsidiary of our group, has entered into a contract for theconstruction of two 36,000 m3 dual-fuel ethylene(LEG) carriers with Ocean YieldAS (Norwegian shipowner) in the form of cloud signing.

 

•66000DWTand 63200DWT bulk carriers

(1)66000DWT bulkcarrier

The order for four66000DWT bulk carriers comes from previous Japanese shipowners. The ships arejointly designed by CS Marine, the group’s design company and MitsuiShipbuilding of Japan. The ships are energy-saving, emission reduction, greenand environmental protection. All of them will be delivered in 2024.

 

(2)63200DWT bulkcarrier

Two 63200DWT bulkcarriers were ordered by Hong Kong shipowner and designed by Shanghai Econovo,a design company of the group. The vessels will meet Tier III emission and EEDIPhase III requirements, and scheduled for delivery in 2024.

The above two shiptypes will all be built by Yangzi Mitsui.

 

•1800TEUcontainer ship

On July 5th, ourgroup has entered into a contract for the construction of two 1800TEU containerships with Cosmoship in Greece in the form of cloud signing.


With a total orderbook of $8.15 billion for 137 vessels to date, the group expects to maintain healthyutilization of all its shipyard facilities and predictable revenues bymid-2025. The recent orders for two LEG ships obtained by the Group demonstratethe company's growing expertise in the liquefied gas tanker market.Focusingon the future needs of environmental protection, the demand for clean energyships will continue to increase. The Group has invested special research anddevelopment resources to accelerate the transformation and upgrading, andstrive to achieve a larger market share in the field of high-tech clean energyships.
