On January 17th, the first 36,000m³ dual-fuel LEG carrier "BRILLIANT FUTURE" built by our group’s Yangzi-Mitsui Shipbuilding for Norwegian Shipowner, departed from the shipyard wharf and started her maiden voyage.

"BRILLIANT FUTURE" successfully completed the sea trial on December 11th, 2024, and all the performance indicators have met the standards. This vessel type has been optimized in design, featuring a compact and flexible structure with strong port adaptability, while maximizing the utilization of cargo space. Equipped with three large spherical-head C-type tanks, it increases the cargo loading capacity by approximately 12%. Powered by an advanced dual-fuel main engine and paired with an efficient CPP propeller and a fully suspended twisted rudder, the vessel provides excellent propulsion efficiency while ensuring low emissions and environmental performance.

On the morning of January 14th, Yang-zi Mitsui Shipbuilding held a grand naming ceremony for the vessel. Ms. Silvia Pires Migueles, the godmother of the vessel, named the vessel and tossed champagne. The signing and delivery ceremony of "BRILLIANT FUTURE", the first dual-fuel LEG carrier built by Yang-zi Mitsui, was also completed on the same day of the naming ceremony.
