New Year's First Vessel: Delivery and Departure of 50,000DWT tanker "SEAEXPLORER"

On January 6th, the 50,000DWT tanker “SEAEXPLORER”, which is the first new vessel delivered by our group in 2025, departed from the shipyard wharf and started her maiden voyage.

The vessel was designed by Shanghai Econovo Marine Engineering Co., Ltd. and built by our group’s New Yangzi Shipbuilding for Yangzijiang Financial Holding and Shipowner Scorpio. “SEAEXPLORER” measures 183m in length overall, scantling draft of 13.30 m and service speed of 14.5 knots. Equipped with an open-loop U type scrubber, the vessel meets the EEDI Phase III standards, making it an energy-efficient, environmentally friendly, and highly competitive green tanker with excellent port adaptability. The vessel cut the first plate on January 4th, 2024 and was built in accordance with the rules and regulations of class ABS.

On January 3rd, Mr. Ren Yuanlin, Chairman of Yangzijiang Financial Holding, and Mr. Du Chengzhong, Deputy General Manager of Yangzijiang Shipbuilding Group and General Manager of New Yangzi Shipbuilding, signed the delivery documents on behalf of the shipowner and the shipbuilder respectively.
