On the morning of April 2nd, a 31200DWT Great Lakes bulk carrier "CAPTAIN HENRY JACKMAN" built for Algoma Central Corporation was successfully christened and delivered in YANGZI-MITSUI Shipbuilding Co., Ltd.. Godmother, Miss Bella, Director of Algoma's New Shipbuilding Project, Mr. Roger Cornish, Vice President of LR Classification Society in Greater China, Mr. Ioannis Koufalitakis, Director of Foreign Shipowners' Business of LR Classification Society in Greater China, Mr. Song Shuming, Deputy General Manager of YANGZI-MITSUI, Mr. Tamura Guanglu, Deputy General Manager of Yangzi Mitsui, Mr. Genqiao Xiuzhou, shipowners' supervision team, on-site office of LR Classification Society and relevant staff of YANGZI-MITSUI gathered at the outfitting dock to hold the naming ceremony. The "CAPTAIN HENRY JACKMAN" has a total length of 225.535 meters, the length between two columns is 225.30 meters, moulded breadth is 23.77 meters and moulded depth is 13.40 meters, the designed draft is 8.15 meters, and the scanlting draft is 8.65 meters, and classified into LR. It is the fifth ship ordered by Algoma in our group, and it is also the first ship with newly design built in YANGZI-MITSUI.
