CCTV Broadcast! Successfully Launching of the first batch of 24000TEU container ships

On October 29th, two super-large container ships with the world's largest loading capacity of 24000TEU, which were built by Yangzi Xinfu Shipyard for Bank of Communications Leasing, Bank of China Leasing and Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC), were successfully launched. This launching was reportedby CCTV News 30.

The 24000TEU container ship is a new generation of super-large container ship with the largest loading capacity and the largest loading capacity in the world, which is customized based on the customer's operatingneeds. At present, our company has six container ships of this type, all ofwhich are built by Yangzi XinFu Shipyard. The two ships that have been launchedthis time are the first batch of new shipbuilding. This batch of ships was steel-cuton November 29, 2021, keel-laid on June 7, 2022, floated on August 10, and launchedon October 29, with a total docking period of 144 days.

This type of vessel is known as the "Big Mac at Sea",with a total length of 399.99 meters, a width of 61.3 meters, deck area of 24,000 square meters, equivalent to 3.5 standard football fields, a depth of 33.5 meters, structural draft of 17 meters, and a service speed of 22.5 knots.It is supervised by DNV Classification Society.
