On February 18, the first working day after the Spring Festival holiday in the Year of the Dragon, Yangzi Mitsui Shipbuilding built a 29800DWT Great Lakes self-unloading bulk carrier for the Canadian ALGOMA owner - "ALGOMA BEAR" ("ALGOMA BEAR", listed in Canada flag) was delivered and left the shipyard to start a new journey. "ALGOMA BEAR" is Yangzi Mitsui's first self-unloading bulk carrier. The ship is 225.53 meters long, 23.77 meters wide, 14.25 meters deep and has a design draft of 8.15 meters. It is classified into the LR classification society. With the cooperation and mutual support of JBL on-site construction supervision team, LR classification society, shipyard and other parties, it was successfully completed in 14 months.


 

On February 6, under the joint witness of representatives from all parties, Yangzi Mitsui Shipbuilding and ALGOMA shipowners held a signing and delivery ceremony for the ship "ALGOMA BEAR".
